Projects and Updates
Septemer's blog post is in the works. Reading has always been a large part of my life, long before what ended up being an over 20 year career in the book industry. While I no longer work in the field, and have shifted my focus to art and illustration, I still enjoy reading and talking (and writing) about books, which will be the subject of next month's post. In the meantime, if books and reading are your jam, you may want to check out "Memories and Musings of a Bibliophile Artist" here.
As I write this installment of "Snippets", I am on a break from social media and unnecessary online activities. I read the news, and work on art-related tasks, but that is the extent of my online activity. If you think you can't take a digital break, that is all the more reason why you should.
Nature is still naturing, and here are a couple of recent photos to prove it.
Sketchbook
I haven't done much sketching recently, but no doubt I will this week, as I have more time due to my social media/online break.
Reading
The Yoga Sutras of Patanjali
The Last Battle (book #7 in the originally published order) of The Chronicles of Narnia, by C.S. Lewis
The Ramayana
A Short History of Monks and Monasteries, by Alfred Wesley Wishart
Personal Tidbit
My favorite musician is David Bowie (with his 1970s work being my favorite period). His voice is second to none, in my opinion.
